The Travel Roller® was created as a self-therapy tool to rehab athletic injuries and chronic body pain. After a combined decade of research into myo-fascial release in the world of high performance sport, injury rehabilitation and fitness the Original Travel Roller® was born in 2007. Who is Arysta?

Arysta is an World Champion fitness model, mobility coach and entrepreneur who is the creator of the Travel Roller® and the Roll Yourself Healthy™ Course. Arysta has a Bachelor of Honors in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She is a mom, wife and nature lover. She has won numerous fitness titles and has a background as a tennis player, All Ontario top 10 javelin thrower with a diverse fitness experience in dance, yoga, weight-loss, body sculpting and holistic rehabilitation.  She is a high-performance fitness and holistic lifestyle coach and enjoys training groups from corporate wellness retreats, seminar presentations, trade shows and group fitness and youth team sports. Certified Personal Trainer since 2005. Other Certifications include: Kettlebell Instructor, Cross Fit Mobility Coach, CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach HLC1, Nutrition & Wellness Specialist, Metabolic Typing, Children’s Fitness Coach, Neuro Training Certification (Neuro Training Institute) etc.

Arysta suffered through athletic burnout and years of chronic back pain, weight gain, fibromyalgia symptoms and postural imbalances.

She has experience in mental health and TBI in sport and dealing with trauma. In 2021 she created 2 Recovery & Healing courses to help others heal their pain, emotional trauma and de-stress from daily life with foam rolling, fitness and mental health and happiness.

The inception of the Original Travel Roller – the worlds first portable high performance foam roller was created in 2007. It became Arysta’s 24/7 massage therapist and it completely rehabilitated her body through daily SMR (self-myofascial release), she has since become a foam rolling and self-myofascial release expert. Arysta is the owner and developer of the Travel Roller. The Original high performance foam roller since 2007. She has successfully grown a trusted brand from the ground up where it’s a popular, well respected and choice tool for top trainers, physiotherapists, chiropractors, athletes, fitness enthusiasts and people with injury and rehab.

Arysta appeared on CBC’s Dragons Den in 2012 turning Bruce Croxon down for an offer to partner in the business. “The Roots of Rolling”

Adam Wood was a former Elite Canadian National Team Bobsledder and later High-Performance Strength Coach. Adam tragically passed away in 2013 after years of issues caused by multiple concussions, TBI.  Adam had over 10 concussions in addition to #sledhead in his bobsledding career and a T12 Vertebrae fracture caused by a bobsled crash resulting serious injuries and concussions. All which lead him to co-create the Travel Roller, to manage his pain, chronic injuries & feel healthy. His brain was donated and studied at the Brain bank at Concussion Legacy Foundation at Boston University for CTE. The Legacy lives on with in each person who rolls with us in our courses and on our recovery products! His brain study and story will continue to help others as we understand concussions and mental health relationship in athletes.  Arysta has courageously carried on the company and grown it to a holistic brand to continue to help others feel healthy, heal, recover, heal and has become an inspiration with her story.
